U.S. Cellular Adds Direct-to-Mobile Billing

U.S. Cellular today announced that its customers can now make online purchases via their cell phones and have the transaction added to their monthly wireless bill. According to U.S. Cellular, subscribers use their phone number to make purchases on mobile web sites, which are confirmed via text message before being processed. The service is available to U.S. Cellular's postpaid customers in 26 states. The feature is available beginning today.
