Facebook Buys Advertising Platform from Microsoft

Facebook today announced that it has agreed to purchase the Atlas Advertiser Suite from Microsoft. Atlas is a tool that helps companies manage advertising campaigns and cull data on their effectiveness. Facebook said it wants to scale Atlas up for bigger campaigns, as well as make it easier for advertisers and marketers to use. According to Facebook, Atlas will remain in Seattle, as Facebook already has its own engineering team there. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
