Asurion Protecting Walmart Smartphone Customers for Free
Mar 5, 2013, 2:40 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Walmart today announced that its Android and BlackBerry smartphone customers now have access to free virus protection. Customers who subscribe to Walmart's MobileCarPlus handset insurance may download and use the Asurion Mobile Security application at no extra cost. Asurion's app scans for viruses and malware, and offers safe browsing alerts when surfing the web to protect against malicious web sites. The Asurion app also allows subscribers to more easily locate and retrieve lost or stolen handsets, as well as lock them or wipe their contents, should the need arise. The Asurion app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or BlackBerry World.
