PalmOne has acquired the rights to the Palm brand. The Palm brand has been co-owned by PalmOne and PalmSource, the software branch of Palm, since the two companies were split. The hardware company has purchased full ownership of the name for $30 million. The company currently known as PalmOne will become Palm, Inc. again later this year. They will unveil a new logo for the Palm brand this summer and expect devices launched in the fall to bear the new Palm brand.
