An update to Google's main search application for the Android platform today adds several new features. The most prominent new feature is the ability to track packages in real-time (from select carriers). The app already notices when tracking numbers and shipping data land in the user's Gmail inbox and creates cards for them in the Google Now feature. This Google Now tracking card will offer updates when there are changes in the tracking data. The new search app also adds quick feedback and settings on cards and faster Google search results. The update is free to download from the Google Play Store.
