Viva Movil Opens First Store in Brooklyn

Viva Movil today announced that its first retail store opened on June 11. Viva Movil is a premium retailer of Verizon Wireless goods and services. The launch store is located at the intersection of Flatbush and Atlantic Avenues in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, near the Barclay's Center arena. Viva Movil is a partnership between Brightstar Solutions, for distribution, and Moorehead Communications, a Verizon Wireless retailer. The company was founded by Jennifer Lopez, who serves as its chief marketing officer. Viva Movil looks to cater to the Latino community. Stores will launch in other markets, such as Los Angeles and Miami, throughout the year.

That area is mostly black. How stupid. Yes it's a popular destination with the nearby Barclay's and shopping center but even so there are mostly blacks there shopping anyway. Viva Movil would have been better off in the South Bronx area or the Jackson Heights section of Queens as it would be much more closer the demographic it wants to cater to.
Sadly if some celebrity opened up a shop that was targeted at white people, they would be racist. Ridiculous.

There are about 400,000 spanish speaking people in Brooklyn. Plus, Brooklyn itself is the most populous of the Five Boroughs, so it makes sense to open a store there. I highly doubt that only "Latinos" will shop there. Lol.
