Verizon Expands EV-DO Coverage, Lights Up Pacific Northwest

Verizon today launched EV-DO high speed wireless data for metro areas in Washington's Puget Sound metro area including Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia as well as the Northern Willamette Valley in Oregon including Portland, Vancouver and Salem. The carrier also recently expanded EV-DO coverage around Atlanta, Austin and Dallas/Fort Worth, and added coverage in Richmond, Virginia, and San Antonio, Texas. Verizon claims its high speed network now covers 100 million people, and expects to cover 150 million by year's end.
