Jun 19, 2013, 5:18 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Spindle today announced that it has been acquired by Twitter. Spindle is known for providing mobile phone users with up-to-the-minute information about what's happening nearby. It culls the real-time information by scanning social networks. According to Spindle, it believes that combining forces with Twitter will help it to deliver even better real-time search results for nearby events and attractions. Spindle's employees will join Twitter's in San Francisco. Terms were not disclosed.
