Jun 29, 2005, 1:10 PM by (staff)

Sprint today announced the Sanyo MM-8300. Seen as an upgrade to the 8200, the 8300 adds support for Sprint's new video ringtones, however not much else has changed feature-wise. Features still include a VGA camera with flash, Ready Link Push to Talk, Speakerphone, and media player. The 8300 will come in 3 colors - silver, blue and red and users can add an accent color with a small replaceable ring that encircles the top half of the clamshell. The MM-8300 should be available the week of July 11 and will retail for $300, but cost only $150 after rebate.

I was really hoping for a camera upgrade. Or at least the ability to send pictures that are "saved" to the phone.
What a bummer.
When will Sanyo will put out a bluetooth phone?
