PalmSource Signs New Phone Maker

Palmsource yesterday announced they have signed a new licensee. During their Q4 results conference call, CEO Patrick McVeigh announced the company has signed one of the top five handset manufacturers as a licensee, however he would not announce which company it is. Samsung is already a Palm OS licensee, leaving just Nokia, Motorola, LG and Sony Ericsson. Considering LG's recent track record of matching Samsung move for move, and the other manufacturers' commitment to alternative smartphone OSes, they are most likely choice.
