Sprint Bringing Captioned Calls to iOS Devices
Jul 23, 2013, 12:48 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Sprint today announced that it is offering captioned calls to the Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod. The service makes use of technology from Wireless CapTel and lets customers read conversations with real-time word-for-word captions that appear on their iOS devices. Users are able to place and connect calls as normal and the service then takes over to deliver the captioned content when the call is answered. The application can be downloaded to iOS devices for free from the Apple iTunes App Store as long as the customer has an Everything Data plan.
