T-Mobile Offering All Phones for $0 Down
Jul 26, 2013, 8:22 AM by Eric M. Zeman
T-Mobile today announced a promotion that will allow customers to purchase new phones with no downpayment. T-Mobile typically asks for a downpayment of about $99 when customers purchase new phones. The $0 down promotion begins July 27 and runs for an undisclosed period of time. T-Mobile customers will still be responsible for making monthly equipment installment plan payments.

Confusion about this offer
This is not a sale, you do not save the downpayment. That specific payment amount is simply deffered into your monthly payments. So instead of the $99 down and $20 per month, you're paying $25 per month.
This isn't a response to anything. T-mobile does not need to respond to the two other cash grab programs offered by the other carriers. Jump is a true upgrade offer, Next and Edge are not, they are just cash grabs.
