C Spire Offers to Block Smut from Smartphones

C Spire Wireless today announced the availability of a new filter that will prevent customers from accessing adult content. The filter can be activated by an account holder to prevent family or employee devices from viewing inappropriate material. The filter, which is free to use, recognizes characters and images that are adult in nature and redirects the user to a web page that tells them the content has been blocked. The filter works in most, but not all, browsers, and also works on most C Spire devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and mobile hotspots. It cannot, however, block content accessed through third-party Wi-Fi networks.
