Aug 14, 2013, 8:11 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Google's Virgil Dobjanschi today provided a rundown of new features headed to the Google+ application for Android devices. Google+ 4.1 includes a handful of improvements. The new app makes it easier to switch between Google+ accounts; adds access to photos and videos stored in Google Drive; adds Google Apps support for business users; and adds more controls to location sharing functions. Further, Dobjanschi explained that the Google+ Messenger app will be deactivated in favor of the Google Hangouts messaging application. Users of the Google+ Messenger app will be able to download their conversations via the Google Takeout service beginning later today. Google+ version 4.1 will be made available over the next few days via the Google Play Store.
