Sep 5, 2013, 1:18 PM by Eric M. Zeman
PayPal today issued an update to both its Android and iOS mobile applications. The update applies a broad range of new features, chief among them the ability to find local shops that accept PayPal payments. The app can be used to make payments at a limited number of shops and restaurants once the user has checked-in. The app also adds the ability to order ahead at select restaurants. PayPal can always be used to manage funds and payment options. The update represents a significant change in direction for PayPal, which is looking to make more of a mark in real-world payments. PayPal for Android and iOS is free to download from the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store.
