Judge Rains on iPCS' Parade

Last week Sprint affiliates iPCS and Ubiquitel filed suit against the company and sought injunctions to stall their merger with Nextel. An Illinois Judge has denied iPCS' request for an injunction on the merger, but has ordered Sprint to withhold certain confidential information from Nextel until the case is heard in court on Friday. No ruling has yet been issued in Ubiquitel's case. Sprint affiliate US Unwired was recently bought by Sprint in order to avoid a similar suit and injunction.
