Sep 19, 2013, 1:43 PM by Eric M. Zeman

Google today announced that it is stripping the price tag off its QuickOffice productivity application. Anyone with a Google account can download the Android or iOS versions of QuickOffice from their respective app store free of charge. QuickOffice lets people edit Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint files on an iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone, or tablet. Quickoffice is also integrated with Google Drive, so files can be stored online and easily shared with others. In addition to the app, Google account holders who download, install, and sign into QuickOffice on their mobile device by September 26 will have 10GB of space added to their Google Drive for a period of two years.
