Twitter Enables DMs from Any Follower
Oct 15, 2013, 7:12 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Twitter recently tweaked its direct messaging tool such that users can now allow all their followers to send them private messages. Previously, Twitter required that two users followed one another so that private messages could be sent between them. The change means users will be able to receive direct messages from those they do not follow, but who follow them. The feature is off by default and must be turned on through users' individual account settings.
