Qualcomm Picks Mollenkopf to Succeed Jacobs as CEO

Qualcomm today announced that it has promoted Steve Mollenkopf to Chief Executive Officer-elect and added him to the company's board of directors. He will serve as CEO-elect until March 4, 2014, when Qualcomm's current CEO Paul Jacobs will step aside and Mollenkopf will be given full control of the company. Jacobs will remain on the board as executive chairman. Jacobs has been Qualcomm's CEO for nine years.
