Pebble indicated via Twitter that the app store for its smartwatch will officially launch on Monday, February 3. It will go live at 1PM Eastern time. Pebble will make the iOS version available first, with the Android version to follow shortly thereafter. Rather than use the Pebble watch to browse for apps, owners will be able to access the app store from their smartphone to browse for and purchase apps, and then push them to the Pebble smartwatch over Bluetooth. Pebble recently made the Pebble Steel available for $249, a metallic version of its smartwatch. It can be ordered online.
