Cover today announced that it has been acquired by Twitter. Cover released a lock screen replacement app last year for Android devices. Cover believes in helping users get more out of their smartphones through contextual awareness and its app provided dynamic content that changed depending on the user's whereabouts, schedule, and so on. Cover said though it is joining Twitter, the Cover Android app will continue to be available from the Google Play Store. Details of the transaction were not provided.
