Apple has launched a program in the U.S. and Canada to replace the power/lock button of the iPhone 5. According to Apple, it discovered the button may fail on some devices manufactured through March 2013. Customers can use Apple's web site to determine if theirs is affected. If so, the phone can be sent directly to an Apple repair facility or taken to an Apple Store where it will be examined and then sent to a repair facility. Apple says the turn around time for repairs will be four to six days. In some cases, Apple may be able to provide a loaner device while the customer's iPhone is being repaired. Owners of the iPhone 5 can visit Apple's support site (link below) for more information.
Site Broken?
mine always says. "We're Sorry try back later" ? anyone else getting this at apple support site?
Galaxy S2 - specifically Sprint
Yeah - don't even open your mouth. Don't rebuttal - you have nothing.
Android in it's early generations was JUNK - with a capital "J".
Wow, Apple actually admitted to a defect and is willing to fix it - such a controversy. Seriously, find a bridge with no water underneath it.
You obviously don't understand. This is a fake story. The people who have broken power buttons where using cheap cases instead of Apple approved ones. Apple has never made anything defective.
Fake news.
Apple builds the best products. They don't malfunction. If anybody has a problem with the power button they are probably holding it wrong. If you hold an Android phone that way the power button stops working too.
hah well at least they acknowledge the issue and repair it, unlike Samsung with multiple faulty charging ports on multiple models along with the crap power buttons on the Galaxy S2
Funny...
The apple store used to always blame that on the case. If you had any case on it that wasn't sold by apple then it was the cases fault and they wouldn't do anything to help you.
