Consumer Cellular Ups Minutes, Messages, and Megabytes

Consumer Cellular today added value to its existing voice, messaging, and data plans by increasing allotments without increasing prices. For example, Consumer Cellular upped its voice plans from 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, and 5000 minutes per month to 600, 1200, 2500, 4000, and 6000 minutes, respectively - all at the same monthly price points. Consumer Cellular offered similar improvements to its messaging and data plans. For example, the base Connect Lite plan used to offer 100 messages and 10MB of data for $2.50 per month. Now the Connect Lite plan includes 200 messages and 20MB for the same $2.50. A full breakdown of Consumer Cellular's new prices are available on its web site. The new rates are effective beginning today. Existing customers' plans will automatically be updated with the new allotments.
