Google has pushed out minor updates to a handful of its own applications in the last several days. To start, the Google Play Store itself was updated today. The revised Play Store makes it much easier to view and understand the permissions being sought by each app. It also makes some minor adjustments to the control panel. Google Hangouts has been updated with the ability to hide select contacts, as well as assign unique alerts to individual conversations. Both Google Play Books and Google Play Music were updated during the last week with stability improvements and bug fixes. All four apps are free to download from the Google Play Store.
