UT Starcom To Begin Pushing Own Brand
Oct 13, 2005, 5:35 PM by (staff)

UT Starcom today unveiled a new logo with the intent of making their brand known in the US. Although they purchased Audiovox some time ago, UT Starcom has continued to market devices in the US under the Audiovox name or as carrier-branded models. Like Pantech and BenQ, UT Starcom hopes to extend their brand recognition beyond Asia and into North America. Although UT Starcom announced this new strategy today, they did not announce when the first models will appear with this branding or which models they will be.

I think the 8940 was a definite step in the right direction. Nice handset.
