Sony Ericsson Unveils 3G Walkman Phone

Sony Ericsson today announced the W900, the company's first Walkman phone for 3G networks. The phone contains 470MB of internal memory and supports Memory Stick PRO Duo cards for up to 2 GB of additional memory. The phone sports a swivel design dedicated music controls and a spring-assisted hinge. The W900 supports video calling and has a 2 megapixel main camera with auto-focus and 30 FPS video capture. Other features of the phone include a QVGA display, FM radio, Bluetooth, landscape 3D gaming, and Macromedia Flash Lite. The W900i will be available by the end of 2005 in Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa, in black or white. Separately, Sony Ericsson also announced the MMR-60, an accessory that broadcasts music from a Sony Ericsson music phone to any nearby FM radio.

that is a great phone but of course the US doesnt get to see this phone. The US always get the downgraded phones

The outside is sexy, but the inside is generic...

To me, when the phone is "closed" I think the design is sharp and interesting. But when the slide springs open, I see a generic and boring keypad - the kind I would expect to see on a phone from 1992. Come on guys, make the inner portions of the phone as cosmetically beautiful as the outside.

Oh yeah, 850 would be nice too.
