SanDisk to Buy Fusion-io

SanDisk today said it has agreed to buy Fusion-io for $1.11 billion in cash. SanDisk is known for flash-memory drives and memory cards for mobile devices. Fusion-io makes server-grade solid state drives. SanDisk is making the purchase to expand the scope of its business.
