Yahoo Debuts Aviate App for Android Phones

Yahoo-owned Aviate graduated from beta today and is now available to most Android smartphones. Aviate is a learning launcher and adjusts the home screen content throughout the day depending on user preferences and needs. For example, Aviate will prioritize weather data if the forecast will differ significantly from day-to-day, or if there's suddenly a strong chance of precipitation. Aviate is able to do things such as automatically connect conference calls without requiring the user to punch in codes, can estimate commute times, and even call an Uber. The app has been available in a limited beta for several months, and today's full release adds two new features. Aviate can now track users' sleep as well as automatically generate a list of favorite contacts based on those the owner reaches out to most often. Aviate is free to download and requires Android 2.3 and up.
