Nokia today launched their first handset based on UIQ - the only Symbian interface the company did not develop. The 6708 is a triband GSM/GPRS handset with a 208 x 320 screen and 1.3 MP camera. Nokia did not develop the phone either, it is actually rebranded BenQ P31 with additional Chinese language support and software tweaks. Many Asian markets are demanding handsets with handwriting input, since that is much faster and more natural than an QWERTY keyboard or numeric keypad, however Nokia did not have any models or OSes with Chinese handwriting recognition. This is not the first time Nokia has rebranded a handset to quickly meet a particular market's needs.

The phone features NFC, wireless charging, Corning Gorilla Glass on both sides, a 48 megapixel main camera, 16 megapixel wide camera, 24 megapixel front camera, and a 6.53-inch FHD+ display.
Ugh...BenQ.
Nokia + BenQ (a company that has put out nothing but pure, unadulterated crap in the States) = Not good.
Good job
Good job Nokia, what ever it takes to get it done i say
When did that happen before?
I'm tempted to say the 6101/02 for North American markets given how flip-obsessed we are, but I'm probably way off.
flips are nice...i have bar, flip and swivel... flips tend to be a bit more size conscious and convenient, but thats counter to my current phone which is a bar style... right now i am in debate between the mpx 220 and the smt 5600
