Google to Pull Quickoffice from App Stores
Jun 30, 2014, 7:17 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Google recently said it will yank its Quickoffice app from the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store in the coming weeks. Google is making the change because it has published stand-alone Docs, Sheets, and Slides apps for creating and editing documents within its Google Drive service. This change applies to both the Android and iOS versions of Quickoffice. Customers who've already downloaded Quickoffice will continue to be able to use the software, but Google will no longer update the app and new customers will no longer be able to download it.
