Skype 5.5 for iOS8 Adds Support for Extensions
Sep 22, 2014, 8:46 AM by Eric M. Zeman

Skype today updated its iPhone application to version 5.5. The latest rendition of Skype takes advantage of extensions, which are a new feature of iOS8. The update lets Skype users answer voice and video calls from either the lock screen or the notification center, thanks to new UI tools. The same also applies to Skype messaging conversations. Skype is free to download from the iTunes App Store, though some calling features cost money to use.
