Cingular today announced they have completed a number of upgrades to their mobile home page. Users now automatically receive weather, sports and other information based on their zip code without any additional configuration or clicks. The carrier has also reorganized much of the portal to make content accessible with fewer clicks. In addition, subscribers who purchase the Motorola v557 can now receive customized information right on their phone's home screen without any clicks. The v557 is the first phone to launch with Motorola's SCREEN3 technology. Verizon also announced upgrades to their homepage. They have added several new content partners like Zagat and Hollywood.com to provide additional local information.
