Google today updated its Android Wear app for smartphones and wearables, adding a significant number of new watch faces. Google said Android Wear device owners can now download watch faces directly from the Play Store. In conjunction with the new faces, Google updated the accompanying phone app to make browsing, downloading, and switching watch faces easier. Google said the Android Wear app updates, both for phones and smart watches, are rolling out to devices slowly over the next few weeks. Last, Google today made the Watch Face API available to developers. The API gives developers far more creative control over watch faces they can design.
