Instagram Debuts Layout Photo App

Instagram today announced a new app called Layout, which helps people create photo collages on their smartphones. The app portends to make it easier to assemble collages through custom layouts, easy access to photos containing people, and a handful of tools such as pinch-to-zoom and other effects. Layouts also features a photo booth function that lets users take pictures on the spot and create instant collages in the moment. Layout is free to download from the iTunes App Store. Instagram said a version will be made available to Android devices in the coming months. Instagram is owned by Facebook.
