Google Now Boosts App Cards to 70

Delivering on a promise it made several weeks ago, Google today expanded the number of third-party apps able to create cards within the Google Now search function. Apps can now surface just-in-time information in Google Now across a range of topics. For example, ABC News and Feedly cards can offer breaking news alerts; Eat24 can ping users to impending food deliveries; and fitness apps such as Adidas and Jawbone can deliver fitness goal details and nudge those not moving enough throughout the day. Android smartphone owners will need to update to the latest version of the Search app to gain the expanded compatibility with third-party apps.
