Facebook Connect Disconnected from Windows Phone

Facebook has updated its Graph API and the change will impact the Facebook Connect feature on Windows Phone handsets. The Facebook Graph API is what lets Microsoft connect users' Facebook accounts to their Microsoft accounts for the purposes of populating the People app with current contact data and newsfeed updates. The changed API breaks functionality most dramatically with handsets running Windows Phone 8.0 and earlier. This means the People app and others (photo gallery, movie maker, and OneDrive) will no longer be updated with content from Facebook. The change doesn't have such a large impact on devices running Windows Phone 8.1, but the People app will still cease updating Facebook content on WP8.1 handsets. Microsoft said the Facebook application for Window Phone will continue to function properly.
