Motorola has taken the wraps off the new edge+ (2023) , its flagship phone for the US this year. This year's model brings back the curved-edge OLED display that was a hallmark of the edge series until last year's model switched to a flat display.

Google is changing how Maps stores your location history, moving it on-device by default and encrypting it when saved to the cloud. This change means even Google can't access that data, which also means Google will no longer be able to respond to "geo-fence" warrants from police wanting to know who was in a given area at a given time.

iPhone users can now update to the final (non-beta) version of iOS 18. This version was originally announced as bringing "Apple Intelligence" AI features, but these have now been postponed until version 18.1 — expected "next month" — or some aspects of it have been pushed back to an even later update.
