T-Mobile Gives Away Wi-Fi on Weekends
Mar 6, 2006, 1:20 PM by (staff)
T-Mobile this weekend began a new promotion to bring Wi-Fi to its phone subscribers. Customers can get online from any T-Mobile hotspot all day Saturday and Sunday free of charge. When at a hotspot location, subscribers visit a webpage where they enter their phone number. They will receive an SMS on their handset with a passcode that will get them hotspot access all weekend long. Users will need to request a new passcode every weekend. T-Mobile recently launched the Wi-Fi enabled MDA and SDA and is expected to launch more devices with Wi-Fi later this year. This service will work with any Wi-Fi enabled device so long as the user has a T-Mobile cellular account.
