Periscope Adds Landscape Video
Sep 10, 2015, 9:51 AM by Eric M. Zeman

Periscope today updated its Android and iOS applications with support for landscape video capture and playback. Before today's update, Periscope videos needed to be shot in portrait orientation. Periscope says viewers can watch landscape-captured videos any way they want, and the app will automatically adjust to the way people are holding their phone. The updated app also adds context to shared videos, more accessibility tools, and more control over private video sharing. Periscope is a live video-broadcasting app and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or iTunes App Store for free.
