Nokia's Alcatel-Lucent Acquisition Clears CFIUS
Sep 15, 2015, 8:12 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Nokia today said the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States has approved its proposed acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent. CFIUS' approval was the last regulatory hurdle in the US, which has already been approved by the Justice Dept. Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent still have several other regulatory bodies to clear in other countries, as well as Nokia shareholders, but still believe the transaction will close during the first half of 2016.
