Spotify's Android App Gains 'Running' Playlist
Sep 15, 2015, 10:49 AM by Eric M. Zeman

Spotify today updated its Android app with the Running playlist feature available to the iOS app since May. Spotify Running places an emphasis on discovering the songs that match tempo to the runner's pace. Spotify uses on-device sensors to determine pace and can do so very quickly. The company thinks this can help runners improve their workouts. Spotify is a music-streaming service. The app is free, but some features require a $10 monthly subscription.
