Amtrak Routes In the Northeast Added to Apple Maps

Apple has expanded mass transit directions in Apple Maps thanks to the addition of Amtrak routes along the Northeast Corridor. iPhone and iPad owners can now plan routes that include Acela Express, Northeast Regional, Pennsylvanian, Maple Leaf, and other lines to points between Boston and Washington, D.C. Apple Maps does not yet offer Amtrak routes in other areas of the country. Further, Apple added the T and other mass transit services in and around Boston to Apple Maps. Apple Maps began offering mass transit directions with the arrival of iOS 9. It only supports a handful of U.S. cities, but Apple is adding more over time.
