Instagram's Boomerang App Creates 1-Second Video Loops
Oct 22, 2015, 10:15 AM by Eric M. Zeman

Instagram today released Boomerang for Android and iOS, an application that stitches together a burst of photos to create moving images. The app automates most of the creation process; users need only press the shutter button. Boomerang works in portrait or landscape orientations and can easily share Boomerang loops to Instagram and other social networks. Instagram itself can already create longer looping videos, and Instagram offers a time-lapse app called Hyperlapse and a collage app called Layout. Like Hyperlapse and Layout, Boomerang is separate from the main Instagram app and is free to download from the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store.
