Samsung Announces Four Handsets

Samsung today confirmed four new handsets for the US that had previously leaked out either through the FCC or Samsung's own showroom. All GSM models now feature EDGE data and Bluetooth.
- T719: A slim GSM clamshell that features both Blackberry email sync as well as RIM's SureType hybrid keyboard. Also offers Bluetooth, 1.3 MP camera, media player. Due out on T-Mobile in the third quarter.
- T509: A slim candybar designed to go head to head with the SLVR. Features a VGA camera, Bluetooth and IM in the thinnest phone available in the States. Expected on T-Mobile the first week of May.
- D407: A midrange clamshell for Cingular that features Push To Talk, VGA camera and Bluetooth. Due out this quarter.
- A960: A new EV-DO clamshell for Sprint with a circular external full-color OLED. Features a 1.3 MP camera, MicroSD slot, Bluetooth and music and video on demand capabilities. Also includes Samsung's 3D motion sensor to control phone features as well as games. Expected in the second quarter.
