Opera Adds News Reader to iOS Coast Browser
Dec 3, 2015, 8:56 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Opera Software today updated its Coast browser for iOS devices with a news reader function. Opera Coast will automatically assemble new content taken from whichever sites are stored on the user's home tab and package them into a "For You" tab. Users can then scroll through the stories without actually visiting the sites that publish them. Opera says the feature should save people time when browsing through their favorite online content. The For You stories will be updated throughout the course of the day with fresh stories. Coast supports the Peek and Pop features of the iPhone 6s, as well, which will reveal snippets of the news with a 3D Touch. Opera said it updated Opera Mini for iOS, too. Opera Mini gains support for 3D Touch and Spotlight Search. Both Opera Coast and Opera Mini for iOS are free to download from the iTunes App Store.
