Google Offers Plugin to Bring Games to Chromecast
Dec 3, 2015, 4:27 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Google today made a new tool available to developers that can help make their games compatible with Chromecast. Specifically, Google released the Google Cast Remote Display plugin for Unity. Unity is a gaming platform that supports mobile devices, and it serves as the framework for a large number of games. The plugin makes it possible for Unity-based games to broadcast to Chromecast devices. In other words, Android phone-owners will soon be able to push more advanced games to their TV. Google says several apps have already integrated the plugin, and more are on the way.
