Siemens R+D Team Heading To Motorola
May 2, 2006, 12:08 PM by (staff)
Motorola today announced it will purchase one of BenQ-Siemens research labs based in Denmark. The purchase includes the lab and 250 of its employees, most of whom are engineers. It does not include any products or technologies the teams were working on for BenQ-Siemens. The sale of this lab is part of BenQ's plan to centralize and slim down Siemen's notoriously overgrown R+D. The new owner has been moving all development to just two facilities in Germany.
