Google is making a new version of its Chrome browser available to iOS devices and claims the refreshed app is faster and more stable. Google says the latest version of Chrome executes JavaScript code "significantly" faster, and this improves the browser's overall speed. Moreover, the new build, which switched from UIWebView to WKWebView, reduces Chrome's crash rate by 70%. Google says Chrome will reload background pages 25% less often, and scrolling is smoother and more responsive. Chrome for iOS is free to download from the iTunes App Store.
