Instagram Rolling Out Two-Factor Authentication
Feb 17, 2016, 8:21 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Instagram is providing an extra layer of security for users through the addition of two-factor authentication. The tool lets users add their phone number to the log-in processor, which would then require a username, password, and authentication code texted to the provided number. Instagram has more than 400 million users, including many celebrities who earn endorsements through their accounts. Facebook, which owns Instagram, has offered two-factor authentication for years.
