Alcatel One Touch Rebrands as Alcatel

Now that LG is no longer making its Stylo phones, TCL isn't content to let Motorola have all the fun in the popular affordable-stylus segment of the US market. Enter the TCL Stylus 5G, an entirely new foray for TCL.

TCL has been showing off prototype phones with its "NXTPAPER" matte-display technology for a while now, but now one is actually going on sale in the US. The TCL 50 XE 5G comes in two flavors: with or without the NXTPAPER display.

TCL is entering a new category in the US phone market: affordable phones with a built-in stylus. The new TCL Stylus 5G is roughly similar to company's TCL 30 V 5G for Verizon, but with a stylus and going on sale today with T-Mobile and Metro.

TCL has announced a new line of phones that employ NXTPAPER, the company's unique display technology that attempts to offer a "full color paper-like visual experience". Most obviously, the displays have an anti-reflective matte finish.
